Past Simple: subject + verb(-ed) or irregular verb

We use the past simple to talk about actions that happened and finished in the past. For regular verbs, add -ed. For irregular verbs, use the special past form.

“ Barnaby followed him.

Tip: Learn common irregular past forms like 'went', 'saw', and 'caught' to talk about past events.

Future Simple: subject + will + verb

We use 'will' + base verb to talk about the future, make promises, or say what we plan to do.

“ I will always respect my elders.

Tip: Use 'will' for promises and predictions. Remember: no 'to' after 'will'.

Prepositions of place: in, on, at, near, under

Prepositions of place show where something or someone is. 'In' means inside, 'on' means on top, 'near' means close to, and 'under' means below.

“ Vinnie is hiding in the roots of the big tree.

Tip: Use 'in' for enclosed spaces, 'on' for surfaces, and 'near' for things close by.
