Paragraphs 1–2 of 4

Zia loved the old library in her town. She often visited after school to read books and look at the tiny details. One rainy afternoon, she noticed something strange near the history section. There were small, muddy footprints on the floor. They went past the tall shelves and stopped in the middle of the room. Zia felt curious and wanted to solve this mystery.

She followed the footprints slowly, step by step. The footprints led to a big wooden desk, and then they just disappeared. Zia looked under the desk and behind a heavy curtain. She found nothing there. She felt a little paralytic, unable to move, because she was so surprised. Then she remembered the virtue of patience: she needed to think carefully and not give up.
