Paragraphs 1–2 of 4

Once upon a time, a brave wolf named Lobo lived on a big space station. The station had a special forest inside it. The forest had four layers, from the dark floor to the sunny canopy. Lobo loved to explore every layer of this space forest.

One day, a curious monkey named Milo came to the station. Milo wanted to see the rainforest layers. Lobo showed him the forest floor first. "Here, the roots are deep and strong," said Lobo. "Many insects and small animals find shelter here." Milo learned that the floor is the lowest layer.

Grammar Focus

Past Simple: subject + verb(-ed) or irregular past

We use the past simple to talk about actions that finished in the past. Regular verbs add -ed, and some verbs are irregular (e.g., 'lived', 'came', 'saw').

“ Once upon a time, a brave wolf named Lobo lived on a big space station.
Tip: For regular verbs, add -ed; for irregular verbs, learn the past form by heart.
Future Simple: subject + will + base verb

We use 'will' + base verb to talk about the future, predictions, or promises.

“ If I take the trees, the animals will have no home!
Tip: Use 'will' for all subjects (I, you, he, she, it, we, they) without changing the verb.
Prepositions of Place: in, on, at, under, from...to

Prepositions of place show where something is or happens. Common ones are 'in', 'on', 'at', 'under', and 'from...to'.

“ Lobo loved to explore every layer of this space forest.
Tip: Use 'in' for inside spaces, 'on' for surfaces, and 'at' for specific points.
