The Elephant and the Big Glass

An elephant lives near a tall observatory. He looks up at the big glass roof. The elephant wants to see the stars, but he is too big for the stairs. He feels sad and sits on the grass.

One night, a small bird flies to the elephant. The bird says, "I can help you see the stars." The bird has a tiny telescope. The elephant looks through it. He sees many stars, and he is happy. But then he sees another elephant far away. That elephant looks lonely.
