The Mystery of the Fox in the Moon Base: An Adventure in Teamwork

Aurelia Base, a gleaming spiderweb of pressurised corridors and hydroponic gardens, was a masterpiece of human engineering perched upon the Sea of Tranquility. Yet its pristine order was routinely subverted by an utterly inexplicable anomaly: a small, auburn fox with an unusually smug expression who appeared to slink through the airlocks with impunity. The crew, a motley assortment of astrobiologists and disgruntled engineers, had christened the creature 'Nick', short for Nickelodeon, because of its uncanny ability to always find the cinema.

Their attempts to ensnare Nick were nothing short of farcical, involving everything from hastily laser-taped cardboard boxes to a quixotic net made of cable ties and the station commander's prized silk cravat. The fox simply yawned, licked its paw, and dematerialised into a ventilation shaft that was ostensibly three centimetres in diameter.
