The Not-So-Brave Monkey of Moon Base Mango

Although Milo the monkey was the most confident creature on Moon Base Mango, he was secretly terrified of the dark. He had told everyone that he loved the black sky, but actually he always slept with a banana nightlight. Because the base had large windows, the deep dark space outside made his fur stand up. Still, he boasted that he could handle any emergency, if only something exciting would happen.

One day, a small meteor hit the solar panel, and all the lights went out. The base became as black as a bat's pocket, and Milo squealed, hiding under a control desk. The other animals, including a rabbit and a tortoise, began to panic because nobody knew what to do. Although Milo's heart pounded, he could hear the Base Commander calling his name for help.
